Boys will be boys and thank goodness for uncles

Sharing a story about my grandfather Alfred Joseph Royer in my last blog prompted my "aunt" Robbie, who is technically my maternal first cousin 1x removed, to share a story of her own. I love hearing the family stories please everyone keep them coming.....
Please contact me if you have a story you would like to share!

"An uncle is someone special to remember with warmth, think of with pride, and cherish with love." -- Author: Unknown

A story told by Roberta Bateson (Kidla) on April 17, 2015

Lesson: When I first started working on my genealogy, I was all about the names, dates, and places. What can you expect from someone with an accounting degree, a project management background now working as a programmer?
I have learned a very important lesson over the years of my research, the facts are important, but the stories and memories shared are what make the fact collecting worth it! It is even the smallest of memories that give us great insight into who our ancestors were. Thank you to everyone for allowing me to share our family stories.
